We fill the SCI injury gap with 1:1 personalized Family Support by SCI Families for SCI Families in the first 90 days. For the families of each newly injured high spine injury of a loved one, we offer compassionate trauma informed navigation support and expert and essential information for SCI families with our rapid response ICU bedside HEAL Team in the first hours and days of injury bringing lived experience, our 24/7 support from a 1:1 SCI NAVIGATOR and Wrap Around Medical and Life Transitions Team for personalized support in the first 90 days of crisis and ongoing personal lived experience SCI tips and resource connections throughout the first 365 days of life adjustments during the Miracle year. BLINK of an Eye nonprofit was formed in response to Louise’s and her son Archer’s experience with crisis and quadriplegia, and to the readers of the Archer Blog and the listeners of BLINK of an Eye Podcast who expressed a strong desire to know more about navigating crisis and trauma, spinal cord injury, and trauma healing.

Season 5 is dedicated to the Story Arc of a Spinal Cord injury from moment of accident through The Rescue to the trauma hospital, the shock of the Intensive Care Unit, through the medical maze of hospitals to In-Patient Rehabilitation, Transitioning Home, Out-Patient Rehabilitation, Alternative Rehabilitation, Creating the New Normal, to Living a long life of Integration. Each chapter opens with an SCI hero for personal lives experience insights and tips and unfolds with interviews of family members and professionals offering their expertise, insights and tips on the topic and experience.
